Made of clear, durable Lexan polycarbonate, the 22" high x 26" wide desk is larger than conventional music stands and designed to effectively provide hearing protection for musicians stationed in front of other musicians, yet it won't impair the vision of players behind the shield. The acoustic shield extends to a height of 66" for standing or seated performers but can fold down to 37", allowing it to be comfortably tucked behind the musician's chair when not in use. Shields can be positioned around percussion sections or as a deflector for French horn players when placed behind the bell to reduce the hearing impact on other musicians. The shield is equipped with a collapsible tripod base and a 1-1/2" desk ledge, so it can easily double as a fully functional music stand for directors or musicians desiring a larger music desk without sacrificing visibility.
